About Demographic Data Import

What this does: This process will fetch detailed demographic data from the US Census API for each existing population center and add it to your database.

Sample Demographic Data:

👥 Gender: Male 50.1%, Female 49.9%

🌎 Hispanic Origin: Hispanic 11.1%, Non-Hispanic 88.9%
ℹ️ Hispanic origin is tracked separately from race by the US Census. This helps identify communities that may benefit from Spanish-language ministry, culturally relevant outreach, or bilingual resources.

🎨 Race: White 64.1%, Asian 19.6%, Black 6.9%

📅 Age: Median age 37.2 years

👶 Age Groups: Under 18: 20.1%, 18-64: 64.1%, 65+: 15.8%

Requirements:

You must have population centers already imported
This process may take 10-15 minutes depending on the number of counties
The process will update existing population centers with demographic data
Data will be displayed in map info windows and population centers page

API Usage: This will make 4-5 API calls per county to gather comprehensive demographic data (gender, race, ethnicity, age).
